Finally getting my G fixed.

Finally getting my G fixed.
Bought my G and within 10 days, a lady ran a 4-way stop and T-boned me. Fought her insurance for 2 weeks until they decided to give me 100% liability, after I get a simple physics point across to them so that they understand how lame they sounded when they attempted to put liability on me. Never give up a fight with insurance, as you can only lose if you do. Ended up being paid out the worth of my car and then a bought it back for a nice $2.6k.
Picture of damage:
Overall, repairs will cost $4.1k. I found a donor G that was the exact same as year and model as my car, and stripped it of all the parts I need. And then I'm paying a shop $2.5k for labor and paint if needed. Considering that I got $2k more than what I paid for the G, driving a G for $4.1k isn't too bad at all. I'll be posting updates of the tear down process and repairs. The shop I took it to specializes in quarter panel and body component replacements and paint. Their work is near OEM quality and I love it.

They said that since I got T-boned in the center, I should have seen her running the stop sign and stopped before I got hit, and placed 30% liability on me. It went down to 20%, then 10%, then 5%, then 0% when I threatened to take them to court. My explanation was that the law requires me to keep my eyes on the road that my vehicle's path takes. Since she hit me in a rear biased fashion, I couldn't freaking drive with my head turned at a 45° angle the whole time to make sure people don't slam me and risk myself running someone over. They (insured agent) kept denying that I got hit in a rear biased fashion based on their insurers claim. I asked them if they looked at the photos and police report (which stated that the driver who hit me simply did not see me by her own words) and the agent said no. Then I lost it and threatened to take additional action if they continued to prolong the case. I told them that its impossible that the lady hit me dead on center, because when she hit me, I spun out 45 degrees inward (and according to simple physics, that's a rear biased hit). They had no argument once I made the explanation and laughed at the agent for her attempt to weasel out of this, hoping I'd settle for 90% of what I'm entitled to .

The insurance usually gives you an option to buy back your car for salvage value.

Hey guys sorry for being in active here for a while. I got some updates for everyone. Lots of nice pics as well!
Good news: Body has been completely repaired and it looks as good as new. You can't tell the car was hit, no Bondo was used because they replaced metal with oem metal. All the repairs where done using oem parts. Nothing after market. Body panels align within factory spec. This body shop is known for their awesome body work, one of the main reasons I chose them.
Bad news: Car has been painted 2 freaking times already with no match. The paint keeps coming out either too light or too dark. I really need help on this, because we can't really get it right for some reason. For the 3rd time, we took it to a specialist paint supplier and had them use a special camera to match my paint. It only ended up confusing us further as it returned two results for my paint: KAD Graphite Shadow and KAD Gun Metal. The side you see currently has already been painted with Cromax Infiniti KAD Gun Metallic Paint. Our next step right now is to spray a few test panels using KAD Gun Metal and KAD Graphite Shadow and see what matches the car best. I have a feeling that it's going to be graphite Shadow, because gun metal seems to be a bit too dark compared to my original paint (also slightly more coarse and metallic appearing). If anyone has any helpful hints with this, please let us know! We really need it. This paint is a pita to match.
Here are the results and a pic of my original side for reference:
As you can see from the trunk, the color isn't an exact match.
It's much less noticeable here.

Looks nice !
After painting it twice, on the third attempt why not just paint the whole car the same color ?
I wouldn't want to paint it a third time hoping for a match.

That would cost me an additional $2500. I'd rather make them redo the paint. This time, they will also be blending the trunk and hood as well.
