Was looking at Renn Stands, but they're kinda pricey. Saw these jack stands with integrated jack, and i figured that 4 for $240, i could have a mini-lift on the cheap. Little more work involved, but much less than a hydraulic lift that wouldn't fit in my garage anyway ...
Interesting idea, and since you can lock the stands like traditional jack stands you'd take the hazard of a hydraulic leak out of the equation.
It would take a while & some planning, but something like a small set of DIY ramps to get the floor jack on the engine cradle, jack that up enough to get the front stands set, then jack the rear diff to get the rear set placed, then go to town
Oh, and you'd need to fab some seats to go on top of the stands so they could rest on the OEM jack stand points (if that's where you plan to place your stands).

I still have t get some hockey pucks and cut a slit in them ...
i started searching around after seeing the Renn Stands:
they are listed as $139/each, and not even sure if they are for sale yet.
i'm not sure what the clearance is on the car - will have to measure, but i am on stock (coupe "Sport") suspension ...
EDIT: its MUCH less than 11", as i guessed.
they could still work, but now i'm less enthused as it would start to be a PITA ...
Most jack stands I've seen won't fit under a car without the car being lifted.
I like the idea of the 2-in-1, but the range of cars I can see it working on is very limited. Most likely meant for raised vehicles like trucks and SUVs.
yea i can see this working well for mini suv/suv owners. anything else ud still have to jack it up first anyways even if u use ramps ud probably still have to jack it up still to clear it.
