Other than the emblems, there's no chrome on the car anywhere other than the grille. I know leaving the chrome strips at the top/bottom will visually minimize the grille vs. all black but all black would also give it a more sinister look.
I don't plan on doing the headlights, which I just realize, have a bit of chrome in them.
I've always liked this particular car:
Then go all black! At the end of the day, it's your car and you have to love the way it looks. If you don't like it, you can always change it.
Mines all black and I love it but my car is Athens Blue with everything else black so it just matches. I think your best bet would be chrome on the top and bottom with black emblem and grill. You have little chrome accents in the headlights and fogs so it works.
Yeah I'm definitely leaning in that direction now. I'm also just going to have a paint shop do it as I'm very time constrained. I'll likely go with a satin black finish with a satin clear for durability.
It depends. On QAA, the chrome option looked a lot better than all black. The painting of the blades, and still keeping the stock smoke chrome looks great imo, and came out great as well.
So if you look at Kennys bumper, you'll see the fog surrounds are chrome. On an original IPL bumper, they're semi-gloss black. I guess my lights are what, titanium? They don't appear to be normal chrome in color. Still leaning towards the midnight grille.
Lemme pitch in here! I also have a graphite shadow IPL like Ape Factory here and was also looking for ideas. Made a crappy edit real quick. Hope this helps.
The top w/the strip of chrome looks more OEM. Now if I go with darker rims, black front splitter, I could be persuaded to go all-black. Trying to keep the rims I choose a dark gunmetal/hyper black sort of thing instead of black.
