Here's 20x10 +35 on 245s (I would go at least 255/35 on a 10" width)

dsolis, if you notice the wheels themselves are outside the fender (a bit of poke), a +40 will be 5mm inside of those so you could run more tire, which is a good thing.
RJs, you'll be right at the inner fender edge when dropped, you might have to flat roll the front fender edge if you run 265s (the rear is already flat rolled).

I have been looking at getting some new rims.
If I run the stock 17" rims now and they fit the way I want them to with 20mm spacers, and I want to upgrade to a 18" or 19"x7.5.
In order for me to not use spacers I would need a +25 offset on the rims I buy?
If I went with a 8" wide would I need a +38mm
If I went with 8.5" wide I would need a +50mm
Am I doing this right?
The offset on my stock wheels is +45mm and I use 20MM spacers.

Hey guys, have a question on wheel/tire fitment.
Currently running 245/45/R18s on the stock Journey 18s, and interested in upgrading to the Sport model's 19 inch wheels. That said, would running the staggered set up cause any major issues (besides quicker tire wear)? I'm sure the ride would be just a bit bumpier.
Was wondering if 245/40/R19 or 255/40/R19 fronts and 265/35/R19 or 275/35/R19 would be best for the staggered setup (19x8.5 +43 fronts and 19x9 +45 rears)
Alternately, if I had to run the rear wheels (19x9" with +45 offset) all around, would it be better? That way I could continue to run a square setup with 245/40/R19 or 265/40/R19 all around?
Nvm, seems like I should be fine with either route.

First off, I wouldn't run that narrow a wheel when you upsize. Run at least an 8.5 width and preferably a 9" to 9.5" width if you want to run a square setup. If you don't plan to lower your G I'd run 18s, something like a 8.5 +35 on a 245/45/18 will be a nice fit or a 9" +40 on the same tire size.
Use this calculator when trying different setups. Your offsets you listed are off but play w/ that calculator a bit and you'll be a pro in short order

See this post.
Every 1/2in width increase means adding ~6mm to your offset.
So your current set up is 17x7.5 +25 (including the 20mm spacer).
If you were to go to an 8in width, add 6mm to your current offset (25) to get the new one.
25 + ~6 = 31/32
18x8 +31/32 = 17x7.5 +25
18x8.5 +37/38 = 17x7.5 +25
Make sense?
Also, use that calculator newt posted on...easy to figure out.
Another good one is willtheyfit.com

Ok everything just clicked in my head, I was making the mistake of adding 12mm where I should be adding 6mm, I forgot the width is not all on one side of the wheel while going up in size. Makes total sense now. Thanks for all the help!
