The redlinegoods steering wheel wrap is worth it for anyone that may be considering refurbishing their steering wheel.

I did it myself with a clothing steamer. Mine is going on 4 years now and shows no signs of wear yet.

Is anyone familiar with the install DIY? Doable with enough time? Really modernizes the look of the steering wheel.

@hexotic knows how to do this. He's good at it.
It's been as simple as disconnect the battery, remove air bag, remove steering wheel(mark it before hand so you know exactly where to replace it so you will not have a crooked steering wheel), remove trim, line up the wrap, go to town sewing, replace trim, use trim tool to tuck any excess and/or trim the wrap, replace steering wheel and air bag, reconnect battery.
You can do it with the steering wheel on the car, but the threading can be hard to see/do because of angles. Much easier to do with the steering wheel in your lap. This one goes over the existing leather, so no need to remove anything before hand.

I have this and did mine myself. Highly recommend, makes the wheel way better both aesthetically and feel. Much thicker and softer to the touch. Easy to do yourself, just tedious and time consuming. Took me probably around 3-4 hours just to stitch it all together. But definitely worth it. Anyone with 2 functional hands and enough patience could do it. Way cheaper than a carbon fiber wheel and I prefer this look more, more classy and way less gaudy looking in my opinion.
