WTB Cold Air Intake (Stillen, K&N, Injen

Category: Accessories
Price: $200
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2010+ G37 Coupe, 2010+ G37 Sedan, 2008-2009 G37 Coupe, 2008-2009 G37 Sedan
Location (State/Prov): CA
Item Condition: Used

Hello all. Looking to buy a good used intake for my 09 G37s Sedan. Street use so not looking specifically for one brand over another. I like the K&N's and Injen's. I know what these are selling for new and can see what they have been going for used. I missed out on a couple that went for $200 last week as I am not on here as much as I want. Let me know if you have one sitting around!

I am located in Northern California, but if you are willing to ship, I will take it from anywhere (reasonable shipping of course)

The "best" depends on your plans. If you don't plan to tune the car afterwards then yeah, Stillen Gen 3 will be the best option. If you DO plan to tune, you should get an AAM intake, they make 20+whp with the internal baffle removed and tuned for.

just installed my stillen gen 3 long tube. Wasnt too bad. had to add a standoff for my filters which was weird. Thought this was bolt on bolt on, but a little modification didnt hurt. I didnt like the fact i had to dremel some plastic out but oh well.

Sorry for the late replies all. Looks like I have to check my settings.

I love the Gen 3 Stillen and probably the one I want the most. Its my daily driver that I have a whopping 4 mile total commute each day. I have only put 5k miles on it in the last two years. I love taking the on ramps and love the speed, but its not like I am going on the road course with it (thats what my 95 Cobra is for).

Oh man, when I tried working on my car in the under ground parking garage of my old apartment, they threatened to tow it if I didn't put it back together before the end of business day..

That's awesome, your car is going to be pristine for its age. As FPVJAY stated, there is going to be some permanent cutting to fit the Stillen intake. With your car being that nice, I would suggest maybe getting the Takeda, Z1 or even the R2C intake so you don't have to damage the core?? Just a thought

Fortunately my apartment complex allows oil changes and car repair. I'm lucky I guess.

I'm planning on getting the Injen Dual Cold Air Intake in a few weeks. I heard good reviews about it.

I just installed my Stillen Gen 3 and it was easy! Thought it was gonna be a lot harder and when people say you have to cut into the core support, it's more like you have to widen the hole a bit... All I did was use a rough sandpaper drum attached it to my drill and widen the holes a bit took me like 5 mins for both oh btw it's plastic so real easy

How do you like it? How loud is it? I just picked up a 13' g37xS as a daily, and don't really want to deal with the maintenance on the true cai setups.

I have it and I believe it's not too loud just more growl at wot! The maintenance is probably recommended every 6 mo or year to clean them depending how dusty place you live in. The installation is the most difficult to be honest if you aren't technical with cars I would have a shop do it that's has done one before like a performance shop
