Haha I know! It hurts me every time I see it sitting in the garage wrapped up and unused!

Yes, I haven't had any problems with it. I had it on through raining season last year + Injen CAI. No problem. If you want, you can always block the vents inside of the hood.
Kinda miss it sometimes, had a lot of compliments from all sorts of people (random pedestrians, drivers, toll booth workers...haha).

compliments, i m sure. it's sexy enough for me to put it on my list in the future. (just that my car's still stock. by putting a hood on it, feels kinda strange).
Because it just make sense to me that, when it rains, water gets on the engine that's HOT, and probably causing smokes and damaging the engine?? @@
I only have OEM CF hood be4.. thats why, i m just curious.

Vented hood has been around for a long time, even OEM, I don't think it would do any damage to the engine. You're not heating the engine up to extreme degree then cooling it down instantaneously to the other extreme so I think it's fine.
If for example, you have a surface that's red hot then you pour dry ice on it, the surface tension will probably crack under the sudden and drastic change in temp. Pretty sure it's not that crazy in our case!
