okay no pics yet....I did the driver side...looks great in my garage but there are plenty of imperfections....it is a tough thing to do right.
The gloss looks great though on my OB.
I am going to do the passenger side in the morning and see if I get the hang of it better. If not I have a feeling it is off to the paint shop (get the grill and trunk lid done at the same time) the right way. I hate having a G and seeing things half a$$ed....

well...looked great in my dimly lit garage last night....
with gloss black vinyl any imperfection stuck out like a sore thumb in the sunlight...peeled it all off (even tried again on the passenger side and got one piece on decently but went downhill after that).
I always prepare for the worst so I bought an extra roll, yet I still do not think I am going to attempt this again...if anyone wants to buy the other roll I will ship it to you with the applicator squeegee for 26 bucks. I got it from BMW Shadowline Matte & Gloss Black Window Trim & Roof Vinyls (gloss black 3"x30').
I decided that since I want my grill and trunk lid to be nice as well I am just going to go to the body shop and getting my trim done in matte black (need to fix the scuff by my exhaust and scratch on my trunk anyways).
Anyone have a good paint shop in Houston? Blackbetty referred me to Rick@Texas Chop Shop, gonna give him a call Monday. Anyone had any work done there?

I should have warn you about glossy black!! I tried it too but you could never get it right!! It's always wrincklelish!! I guess matte black works like tape and it's more flexible! I did wrap my trunk lip with glossy black though. I few wrinkles but looks better than chrome to me!

ya I have worked with matte before and it was much more re-pliable than the gloss.
Once you screwed up in the smallest way in gloss it was screwed. There were so many spots where I just cut the roll off and tried to salvage what stuck part of it that was good.
Paint will be the way to go. Matte by a paint shop.
