I have never thought removing oem shift **** was this hard.
I struggled to get it off for a good 30 min and didnt budge at all, so i had to take my car to local body shop. Friend of mine that works there had to help me get it off. I was purely in love with my car until i ran into this stupid oem shift **** not wanting to come off.

well now its off and all is good.
I got this new shift **** from blackline.com for about $65.
its almost the same weight as the oem but looks and feels so much better.

 

how did u get it off? shift **** looks nice btw. i just got myself a nismo waiting to install it.

exactly the one I ordered.. More then excited to get it just not to excited to take the stock one off

 

lookin good, is that also a short shifter installed or thats the normal height?

I was planning on getting this for my coupe but wasn't sure if it'd fit....? I think they're specifically made for g35/350z if im not mistaken?

 

Mine was basically stuck. I struggled with it for more than 30 min and decided to take it to my friends shop. I had to hold the transmission shaft with a vice grip and my friend had to twist the crap out of the shift ****. It finally broke loose after about 3 tries but getting it off was as hard as breaking it loose. Make sure you have someone helping you and make sure not to twist the transmission shaft; you dont want to mess up your transmission just for trying to change the shift ****.

 

All i did was take off the oem shift **** and slap this one on.
So im guessing its normal height.

 

I was first looking into getting this nismo shift ****, but price was what got me to change my mind. now im in love with this new one. Price is good, looks and feels awesome. Nevertheless, that nismo shift **** is a beauty.
