UPDATED 7/6/11 ** new pics added, page 2


StanceFest, Guam's version of a HellaFlush/WekFest style meet happened yesterday July 3 and I decided to debut Gertrude's new look there. This was my first ever real car show that I have entered and probably last, so I thought I might as well have fun with this.

Her USAF Warthog jet fighter inspired theme get up was done last minute (night before). I got this idea from that flat green wrapped wide-bodied M3 at WekFest LA.

New mods are...

-repaired/repaint the rear bumper that I tore off a couple of months ago.
-AK-X Version2 rear diffuser painted gloss black
-color matched carbon fiber AK-X front lip (had clouding problems with clear coat on it so I decided to just paint over it)
-gloss black grill
-gloss black roof
-Akebono caliper decals from loz
-removed the red pinstripe on my phantom GT30 and went with something more neutral and clean look.
-JDM D o m o headrest pillows
-2 cans of NOS energy drinks mounted on the rear cup holders.
-I also had my JP side strikes painted AG but we had problems with installing it and ran out of time before the show.

I like it ! It stood out... and alot of the airforce peeps were checking it out... not to mention some of the ladies....

I like what you did with the ak front lip! I'm trying to to something different with go # 2 of the AK front lip when I get it painted.

 

Thanks man. Yeah, The haze on the clear was getting worse. IDK, maybe it's the weather here, so I had to get rid of the carbon fiber.

 

where did you get the front lip from? what's the deal with the stuff on your roof?

 

Autokits X front lip. They are vendors here.

The fins are part of the theme. No way I'm leaving those on.
