alot of car nuts love that stretched look with rim poking out. i dont get it much either. i have a lil but not that much. im running 235/30 on a 8.5 and 275/30 on a 10. i guess just because it looks funky they like it. truh be told alot of those guys run through tires like there is no tomorrow but since they can afford the rubber they dont care. me, im trying to save my rubber for as long as i can lol
Yeah I am still scratching my head over it. I prefer more meat than rim and while I am very careful I will admit that tires have saved the edges of my rim on more than one occasion.
Same thing with running a 9.5 in the front over an 8, whats the point? a 9.5 cost more, weighs more, and without a doubt will hug every single rut in the road that you probably would not notice with an 8.
The thing that gets me is people run a stretched out tire and love the looks, then they also want to make your car faster and handle better. I bet the car would handle better on stock rubber than it does on stretched out tires.
The cost of and the rate that one would go through tires is one thing but there is also the safety concern. I bet that inside edge wears so fast you could easily catch a blow out while the outside tread looks nearly brand new.
Looks awesome man. I really love the choice of wheels on your car. They look mean, I want some black wheel lips!
Hey just wondering do you know how much negative camber you're running in the rear? And did you shave off the bumper bracket? I just tried on some 15mm spacers on my rear Volks so it'd be +22, and I just bent my bumper bracket all funny going into a mini dip out of my parking spot. Oops
