Painted GTR style tails (Inspired by Stoof)

Decided to smoke out my tails myself. Painted it with Nite Shades and had my bodyshop spray it with clearcoat. Came out alright but still wish it looked more like STOOF's. (Taping was not as easy as i thought). On to the pics:

Will get better pics tomorrow.

Agreed! If I ever do my tail lights, I will be sure to get them done GTR-Style. I just want to make sure that the outer parts of the circle are completely pitch black! niteshades make it look somewhat transparent, which I honestly dont like.

EDIT: I take back what I said about niteshades, I think its just the light that makes them look a little too glossy/transparent.

Wrong. You cant open taillights.

Not bad, you shouldve taken them off the car though. much easier then taping the whole thing off like that.

And mine are painted with black body paint, so theyre not transparent on the sides at all.

Yea, it was dark with the niteshades, but when the clearcoat was applied, it made it more transparent. It doesn't seem too bad though, darker than a vinyl. My car is blue slate, so it will have a little contrast. Only thing that bothers me is I feel the line in between the two brake light circles is too thin. Alas its too late and I don't feel like starting over...lol

Thinking about putting a blue bat GTR vinyl over it. I like his cut outs better than the way I taped it off

"You're doing it wrong"...lol. Definitely remove the lights rather tape the entire rear end. But nice work anyway.
