ZDayz 2010: Blackjack Bringin Home the Prize!
Good times @ ZDayz 2010 this year. Was a blast. Started out leaving ATL on Friday morning at about 6:30 am in the rain. After a 3 hr drive to Fontana Dam, NC, the car was a mess. As soon as Rose and I got checked into our cabin, we got the car cleaned up (yes, she helped) and the fun began. We got some rain occassionally throughout the day on Friday, but the car didn't move so it just had to be wiped off. Chilled with a great group of Z car, GTR, G35/G37 owners most of the day. Drank alot!
Saturday was incredible. Got up around 7 to get the car cleaned up for the car show. Rose helped again! She's the best. Got the car parked around 9 on the ball field for the show. Finished getting the car prepped and hung out in the sun most the day for the show. I got way too much sun! Judging went well. I talked to my judge after and he was impressed by the cleanliness and how tastefully modded it was. My judge was a early model (1970s) Z car owner. He knew exactly what to look for. He was checking the inside of my exhaust tips, opened the fuel tank door, etc to be sure it was super clean. After the show, we did the group photo (over 250 cars) and then by the time that was over most people headed to dinner at the rec center for food and the awards.
Well... I brought home First Place for Mildly Modified G Class. Was up against 7-8 other G's, all very nicely modified.
Spend the evening again hanging out with a great group of car enthusiasts all day! Came back home to Atlanta this afternoon.
Here's some other pics of the car at the show.
More pics from the event coming in a new thread!!!
