oh and it didnt "come loose". the amount of downforce over an extended period of time SHEARED through the bottom of my bumper and tore about 50% of the splitter off. obviously something was working right. thanks for the patronizing aero lesson sigh.

Hmm.. I'm sorry I misinterpreted your post.. I didn't want others to think this was common..

Good to hear you had good results.. we definitely recommend the turnbuckles for high speed applications.

I too loved the look on yours, you have one of the cleanest G's here.. be happy to work with you on a replacement.. perhaps we can talk you into turnbuckles that are blacked out too..

My intent wasn't patronization.. just taking your post as serious and not recognizing it wasn't meant as stated.. sorry about that..

its all good. its just the way things come out on here sometimes. no hard feelings, ive never had any issues with your sways on both my g's and was happy with the splitter as well.

i dont know if i can stand the looking without the splitter. well since my bumpers already beat up, i guess i should just use turnbuckles...

PM price with gloss black turnbuckles to 32224?

so...since i want this again lol...

would i be able to get all the hardware in black as well?

do you think bolts/nuts would be sturdier than screws?

any recommended turnbuckle placement?

suggested splitter angles - level/up/down?

do you guys paint too? all gloss black would be nice (especially kh3 - black obsidian) but no worries if not.

A splitter should be even. PM me if you need more specifics.

The hardware is stainless steel, I don't have a black version, but have seen guys black it out.

I think your installation was probably fine missing the turnbuckles which add support from the bumper itself.

As Mike states, no reason to angle the splitter, and the piece is formed to the contours of the front bumper, so installation will sort itself out.

We do not do painting, but any reputable body shop who has done urethane should be able to knock this out without issue.

We do however paint these with a matte black paint before leaving, so they are installable, but for glossy black, or any other color, you'll want to go the route of a body shop just like any other component.

Will PM soon..

Just my opinion, at the speeds you're going, Poly is either not going to be rigid enough, or too heavy/bulky. I've seen APR splitters come off at lower speeds because the turnbuckles were not used.

How far under the engine bay does the Stillen splitter extend?

FYI, this is not the same polyurethane that we use for other body components, this is a much stiffer blend..

Woady _ I've got a splitter for sale if interested. It's IP so you'll probably have to paint it if you decide to get it.

Bro, i had to give him a spanking. He was picking on me at first ! Im one of those slow, loud music, show off drivers like woady said earlier. I dont unleash the beast unless its needed and it was needed at the moment.

He got 100 pieces of splitter and nails right to his car... sucks =/
