great effort for sure...but feels mismatched to me.

e.g one would wonder what's CF doing on a car with OEM wheels? then we notice that it's a 5 speed automatic on top of that with 'Z' mats....then we realize that it's just fake CF...then we wonder why the roof is painted black

altogether, It's about as bad as the faux vents on our coupes!

As someone else mentioned though, I would LOVE to get this done for the headlight housing.

EDIT: It could also be the quality of your camera. Maybe it's just that the interior shots don't look that good.
yea might be the camera... its everyones own opintion

No. it's because it's dry CF style overlay and two dimensional. There is barely depth compared to real wet CF parts.
If it were for the roof, it might look good.

That's what I'm talking about too. Even though Di-NOC is the most realistic, it still doesn't give that full 3D feeling like wet CF does. Which is why for detailed work (ie: interior) I think wet CF is still better.

Put some clear coat on it. 3M di-noc is good material.

How about actually coating that hood in resin? I think it would look much better that way rather than the "fabric" look. The interior looks good, not really style but it looks pretty much the same as the CF fabric they put on the new M3s.

I thought about that a long time ago, but the problem is, you'll be sealing in the CF vinyl permanently. Not sure if you want to do that

^Won't be sealing the vinyl to the car. The vinyl is waterproof so you'll only be putting epoxy/polyurethane on top of the vinyl. You can use a completely flexible clear epoxy system so that when you want, you can just peel off the vinyl when you change your mind..

I mean wouldn't you not be able to peel it off if the hard epoxy doesn't have any give?
