Wind + Tree branch VS. My car :(

That's really bad luck, but on the bright side the damage was localized on the roof and the body looks fine.
As for your insurance, just wondering about your comment. I assume your collision deductible is $1000, but typically comprehensive coverage is a lot less and the deductible would also be less. This would definitely be covered under your comprehensive portion and usually does not impact rates so you may want to verify your insurance policy.

Wow... right through the sunroof. No damage to seat, center console, or anything? Unless you have a high comprehensive deductible, I'd consider filing it under insurance in the event you have problems later. Keep receipts won't do you any good later on down the road.
Best of luck, but rethink your decision.

Thanks everyone!
As far as the insurance I looked into it, and yes I do have a very low detuctable on my comprehensive. I have still decided not to put it under insurance.....yet. The shop is doing all the work for about 800$. If I was to go through insurance I wouldn't save much money at all. I'm going to have the car back today or monday, so I'm going to see if there are any other issues. If I was to go through insurance I wod have all the interior parts that got wet replaced, headliner, seats, carpet. Ect. The car did not get soaked though, there was no more water in the car than if I spilled a bottle of water. I feel that if they replace the interior the car will never be the same and I will have more rattles, creaks, squeaks and noises than the car currently has. If it turns out the car has a musty smell and I can't handle it, I will have no choice, but let's hope it does not. Less than a hour after seeing the damage I had the car in the shop right in the paint booth baking away the water. So I'm hoping a good steam cleaning + the heat will do the job.
I will let you all know the outcome!
