New G37 Owner - Have Pics to Say Hi
#16
I used a Nikon D40. I'm glad the pics are to your liking!
Also, forgot to reply back to chamelieon, you're sure right. Dim light parking garages...can't go wrong with that!

Hey! Thanks for the welcome Heat! I have a 1974 Camaro. 383 Stroker. Ready for a 150-200hp shot of nitrous. But I love NA. So no shot. Everything you could do to make it a balanced straight line car. Motor, Tranny, Rear End. Well, I should say, everything that you can do to a carb'd motor that can pass emissions. Now that I have Classic Car Insurance ($200 a year..AWESOME!) I don't need to care about emissions. On street tires, it did 12.6s @ 112mph weighing at a "light" 4000lbs. I'm very happy to have this car. I grew up with it. I sat in it when I was a baby. So the mpg...carb'd motor = low gas mileage.
My Dad's car is a 1981 Turbo Trans Am. We took out the weak turbo motor, and dropped in an original 1970 Ram Air IV 428ci motor. He too loves NA. For those that aren't familiar with the Ram Air IV, these are the highest flowing stock head in the market. Considered as the best performing head. He was offered by the Pontiac dealership any brand new motor that he wanted in exchange for his heads. His heads are around $15,000. For rarity and condition. Ported, polished, with PURE titanium valves. He has roughly 600hp/550tq. Before the engine rebuild for emissions, he ran 11s on street tires all day long. Original paint and interior. Door closes like its brand new.
I DID want the sport version. But its hard to buy a car in my situation. Its like, drop what your doing and go buy a car today. I'm 24, Optical Engineer, work fulltime, going to grad school for a Masters, bought a house 2 years ago, ok...go buy a car NOW.
Knowing me, I would take apart the factory stuff, Sport or Non Sport. I tend to keep what I buy for a LONG time, so I don't mind taking it apart. I'm not planning on an INSANE track car. Just one I can enjoy. It is afterall, the first car that I have owned that is geared more towards track, curvy, stuff. Also, its my daily driver. A freakin awesome DD if you ask me! Don't forget that I'm also very appreciative to own a G. And also very happy to meet fellow G owners!

Sounds like some nice cars there man... I just sold my 1969 Dart... 360 bored .30 over, 10.5:1 pistons, Edelbrock RPM heads, Isky Cam, Air-Gap Intake, Thorley Headers, Spintech Mufflers, B&M 727 Torqueflite, 8-3/4 rear, EVERYTHING... LOL... Had it running low 12's...

'69 Nova...Nice again. I do have to say, 1969 is the peak of the Muscle Car Wars. Nothing like the sound of an old-school V8. Its classic.
'65 CJ5? Wow, don't see too many of those too often. Should be fun!
I really like the sound of the G's V6. Normally, I hate the sound of V6's...but the Nissan V6 sounds very nice. Totally different animal when compared to an old school V8. Whenever I ride my dad's TA and my Camaro, you get a totally different feeling. You go back in the day where there was streetlight intimidation from the other muscle car next to you...waiting for the green. V8's rumbling... The cam barely keeping idle... Waiting for high RPMs....

This is why I love talking with other car junkies. I have one friend that views a car as pure transportation. I tried to talk with him about cars...FAIL. I asked him, "Oh, hey. You know the C6 Z06? Its such an awes..." And he said, "What's that?" I dropped my mouth and didn't know what to say....
On here, on the other hand, everyone knows what I would be talking about. We all love taking care of our cars. And we all love
