tint and spoiler on liquid platinum

so... lots of angles, and 26 pics later.. (i'll upload them all tomorrow).
here is my fav that i am putting on my backround (for now)

the tinting is odd. from any angle, it does not look very dark. looking direcly at it, it looks very dark. anyway, it is what they said they could do legally. the car has the awesome shine right now from the "environmental package". basicly, every dealership has it - it is a scam, but if u talk to the right people the right way, it winds up giving your paint a full warranty. no clear bra needed - much cheaper way to go.
lots more pics to come tomorrow.

that is not the oem spoiler.

edt: did you ask the dealer to put on pinstripes or did the car come with them? i don't know if pinstripes fit the car.

i did not ask for pinstriping. it is not on the window sticker either. and it is not included anywhere as far as i can tell.
the spoiler: my car came with the stock chrome POS in the back. i asked for a spoiler at my purchase. i am not sure exactly what i paid. i think 799? it is unclear on my buyer's order.
here is how it is listed:
Cash price of vehicle: 39000
Accessories:
Tint: $269
W6.2: $799 (i am assuming this is the spoiler)
Tire and Wheel fee: $399
Paint Protection: $399

so here is where i stand. first, i have to decide if i like this spoiler better than the oem one. then i must decide what i want to ask for. i have no problem complaining to the dealership, but i need to have something to ask for. i never specified that i wanted the oem spoiler with the LED lights, but i figured that would have probably been assumed, as i was at the dealership and told them i wanted the spoiler on my car...

so what is my recourse now.. demand a full refund? demand the oem spoiler? demand cash back because i was given something different?

so what suggestions does anyone have, both for if i want to keep, or if i want to change...

i'd definitely either get some cash back or have them put the oem spoiler on

unless they had to drill holes for that aftermarket spoiler. then you're just about screwed

so the sales manager (with whom i have a great relationship) said that the oem spoiler can not be put on once the car is out of the plant. i dont know if that is accurate.
either way, she told me that she would review my paperwork on monday, and see what she can do for me.

that is completely not true. jason at riverside infiniti is selling stock spoilers for the 37.

edit: also, 799 is a lot to pay for a spoiler. stock msrp is only 550.

Infiniti's website isn't even that high...

Defiantly inquire about that $799. And inquire if they put Infiniti spoilers on Inifinti cars since they are indeed an infiniti dealership... If I asked for a spoiler on my car, I wouldn't think a dealership would add on a NON-OEM part to be honest...

Tampa PB. First things first - sweet ride. That car has a shine I have not seen on IP before. Take the pinstripes off, gotta go bro. My question for you...

What was the "environmental package" that you got? I thought it was just a protectant from acid rain damage? Is that the same as the $399 "paint protection" you got and mention later in your post? What exactly is the paint protection plan? I am OCD and **** about scratches and I drive an Obsidian Black G to boot I would really love to invest in a paint protection plan. Especially if I can still get it at a good rate via dealership. Please explain is it a treatment you got on your paint? Is it just a plan that fixes scratches for you? How long does it cover you for, and exactly what does it cover/guarantee/do for you? Forgive my ignorance but I am interested in it. Thanks in advance for your response Tampa!

-Joe

PS - 799 for the spoiler? You should be able to demand the difference between 550 and 799 as a refund bro. I believe it's supposed to be 550. Unless they refer to it as 550 for parts and the rest for labor but even that is if you are getting it AFTER the fact. Is your spoiler added after or came with spoiler from shipment??

well, first off, the reason it has a shine that you have not seen on IP before is because it is liquid plat. the car is silver, not white.
the paint protection is the environmental protection. they basicly spray on a treatment, and it is a scam for the most part. with their warranty, you still have to take care of your car and clean it off in a timely manner, and they claim that they have a way to see how long something has been sitting on the car (example dead bugs). this does not cover against scratches.. just environmental things(bugs, acid rain, dust storms).
i am really not at all happy with the dealership so far. they have not done much other than give me a great price on the car.

the spoiler was "ordered" when i ordered the car, was not on there stock. i brought it back to the dealer to have it put on, the windows tinted, and the paint protection applied.

the price i was quoted for it was 785 from my salesman, he told me that it was cost. i asked him abou tthe 550 price on the site, he told me that the difference is because they would have to order a new one, paint it, and then install it. so while that IS the price from the plant, it costs more to have it done after. (this was his story).

the sales manager said that they always order aftermarket spoilers for the cars if they dont come from the plant with them (and someone asks).

my problem with all of this is that i assumed that it would have been the oem spoiler, as i asked for a product from the dealership. i felt it would have been reasonable to not have to specify that it would be the oem. and as there are so may aftermarket spoilers out there, if they were going to go aftermarket, they should have shown me which they wanted to toss on there for me.

i dont dislike my spoiler, i dislike the miscommunication. my expectation was definately not set properly on that spoiler.
thanks for the input so far guys..
