I know this isn't the advice your looking for but don't buy the stock potenzas. They are terrible, super low tread wear rating, wear unevenly, and don't last long enough(not matter your driving style) Look into Yoko S-drives or Avid Envigors and im sure some other guys will pipe in with other great options.

Most people here do not drive spirited enough to really appreciate the RE050A.

There's a reason it is the OEM tire in some variation on so many cars, up to and including the Enzo.

What are your needs?

Hankook V12EVO is a great choice, IMO. If the grip is lacking, then start moving up tire categories.

Keep in mind that you are moving DOWN in terms of grip from the factory tire, and that the tires are the only part of the car that touches the ground. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have; if the tire is bad, the car won't grip, whether it comes to accelerating, braking, turning, or making emergency maneuvers.

I agree with RichG about the potenzas. Bridgestone in general is horribly loud when they wear down. I only recommend bridgestone for bikes.

Have you thought of using Falkens? That's my brand of choice and it fits your budget. They have good life, grip, comfort and noise rating. I don't know what the newer models are, but the last set I purchased were 452.

I was also looking at Michelin primacy mxm4 but I'd have to order them in staggered config but it's a bit more than what I wanted to pay but I'll probably get them
Since they are 50k mi tires

Look into the Conti's DW at Tire Rack, good for DD and spirited driving.

Or take it up a notch and go for the RE-11's.

totally, I just had 5 20 minute track sessions on the 050's last week & they stuck pretty damn well! ...but they certainly aren't cheap...ouch
