John, you've got $10 from me.

Who's taking care of last minute mods? I've got a few things that I'm taking care of within the next week:
  • Front bumper being painted
  • AKX Rear Diffuser installed
  • Headlight Painting
  • Coupe wheels mounted

Of course a good detail will be done next Thursday/Friday in prep for the meet. Chris, Kirk, some of the local G guys around here, and I will have some Friday night meet and greet pics I'm sure.

I'm prepped and done; inside, out and under the hood. All I have to do is wash, dry and polish the car the day before, weather permitting. My only pending mod (springs) won't happen until after the meet, because... well, **** happens.

So if any of you homos make fun of my wheel fitment, I'll kill ya.

"Look at Rochester's G! Man, those Vossens are sweet. That wheel gap sure isn't though!" - Everyone at the meet.

As for last minute stuff, I'm trying to get my hands on 25mm spacers. I think that's all I'll be able to get done. Gotta change my pads/rotors before the drive, and she'll get a nice wash and wax as well.

I'm just hoping to get mine back and back together.
- Parts are all painted and done but I don't have them in my grubby little hands hands yet
- Rotors and pads are in but calipers aren't
- New center caps should be in tomorrow I think
- New lens covers are here but the car is still getting the differential leak fixed

At this rate I may as well get a rental.

Sounds like you probably won't have the painted calipers on the car for the meet. So just toss them in the trunk and show them off. That works, too.

May come to that though I'm hoping it won't. Now that I'm thinking about it I wonder if I could have convinced the dealer to swap out my rotors at no cost while they were doing the other work...

Haven't been there in years, but back in the day they had full size canoli broken in half as free samples, also had a full grain pie out for easter

Does that mean you'll detail ours after the drive over?
I found a few more mods I'm mulling over... I need to slow down, I really mean to slow down... Gotta focus dang it.

I'm ashamed to say that I've never been. I always mean to go but never make it, when I was at ONEighty I was going swing over but them found a place in Brooklyn so didn't venture over. But, as an Egidio descendant, I feel obligated to go, get a t-shirt and a box or several of goodies.

While we're talking about detailing, do any of you guys have a clear-bra on your car? My front end has one, and I was wondering what you guys use/recommend for cleaning it.

One of the guys at the BMW dealer I work at gave me some 3M polish, but it doesn't really work that well.

Yeah don't use that crap - that **** sucks. I will recommend this to you all day long.

Chemical Guys WAC_767_16 - Clear Seal Gloss Enhancer & Protectant (16 oz)

And here is a video showing you how to apply if you need it.

I wish I had a clear-bra. I would definitely have put one on the bumper I'm having painted on Friday however I can't spare the funds for it at the moment. Having to deal with a flooded basement thanks to a faulty dump valve on my hot water heater is going to set me back a few grand. Oh the joys of owning your own ****.

I have the rubber all season floor mats and no matter how many time I clean them the dirt residue still show after dried. Any suggestions?

Yep. Here's what I do with my rubber mats.
  1. Rinse with boiling water, running a scrub brush over them to loosen the dirt.
  2. Wipe down with Armor All. Thoroughly. (This can be a PITA.)
  3. Spray as a mist with 303 PRODUCTS Aerospace Protectant. Don't over do it.
  4. Let dry.

...and they look better than new.
