AFAIK, the Francis Slocum State Park doesn't require entrance fees, so there's that at least.
Suppose we should research this a little better.

I don't know. To be honest, I'm kind of wondering if the Park has issue with 15 - 20 cars showing up and taking over a parking area. I just assumed it would be OK, because State Park. But this is PA, and ever state has their own rules.

I just called the park direct at (570) 696-3525. Here's the run-down, and we're good to go for a group of 15 to 20 people, and 15 to 20 cars at whatever parking area we settle in; first come; first serve.
Seems about perfect. As long as we're respectful to other groups and people, we shouldn't have any issues.
Excellent!
- Reservations are not necessary for a group this small.
- There are no entrance fees; just drive in.
- Absolutely no alcohol in the park. Period.
- Trash bins are available; no littering.
- Picnic tables are available near parking areas; first come, first serve.
- Grills are available near parking areas; first come, first serve.
- No firewood; charcoal only.

Excellent!

PA state parks were usually pretty good, I used to go in Pittsburgh pretty frequently.
Charcoal doesn't go bad, I can bring charcoal? Paper goods too if needed. I'll be on the road starting Thursday so cooler etc won't really work for me.
