Thanks so the plan is to not tint the windshield but to tint it 50% and not worry about inspections. Part of the reason to get a NY plate was to avoid being a target for police, thieves, staged car accidents, etc.

Yeah been looking at them earlier...I thought Fl had random plates, NY takes the cake with the acupuncturist one.

Any other tips for my car to prepare it for up north? I dont have wheel locks (18" g35 sport wheels), but from the thread i've read they don't stop the thieves. I plan on getting some Micheline or Conti DWS tires for my car and get a deep cycle battery.

I'd throw some locks on anyways.

Why the deep cycle battery? I'd find an AGM that fits and go with that.

As soon as you get up here make friends with a cop and get a PBA card. then you dont have to worry about it.

Ive had 10% all around and 35% on the windshield. no tickets

Trying to get a job as a DA up there is unlikely work out...so I'll have to stick to the defense side, and bring up my PBA cards.

Any recommendations on locks? I plan to do remote start, and it seems the G's have issues with battery drain so a deep cycle would help. On my old car the remote start would kill the battery (even an optima red) if the car was parked for more than a week. And yes, it was installed correctly.

I read about your 'ship doing remote starts that's awesome. I'll look into when I get up there if I don't go to my guy in Jersey.

edit: Also forgot I had 1200 watts of RMS amplifier power in the old car which contributed to the battery drain.
