I will be moving to MD from VA around next month and is in need of a good place for the safety inspection that is fairly easy going and flexible. Will be around Rockville and Baltimore a lot but anywhere within driving distance is fine.

most gas stations with service bays have a state inspection tech. look for a state inspection sign. as far as easy going...they are all about the same. the inspection is petty intense, but if you're keeping up with your maintenance on your cars you should be o.k.. they check brake pad wear, rotor wear, tire depth, chips or cracks in the windshield, leaking shocks/struts, wipers, all bulbs (exterior and dash) etc.. you can see the list on the mva site. since they are overseen by the state police, they will not let you slide on anything.
