STOLEN! keep eyes open in North Jersey!

hey guys, i just moved a few weeks ago and i left my MSW winter wheels and tires in my driveway for the movers to take. they didnt come til the next day to do the second load so they tires sat overnight. i just found out today that they didnt make it to my new crib! i bet some a-holes stole them in the middle of the night like they have in the past with my pressure washer. i lived in a nice town where crime is minimal. but theft is high because of all the nice **** they can find there. please keep your eyes open for these wheels. they're 18" MSW with blizzaks on them.

is the moving company responsible for your loss?

they weren't by the curb. they were by my house in my driveway along with other stuff. but i guess its easier to take 4 rims than to take a table saw, compressor, and other heavy expensive stuff.. but insurance wont do anything, they just raised my premium after sum1 backed into my car so im done doing claims. and if anyone tries selling them to you, look out for the right tire, it has a plug in it.

oh man, im looking for some used winter tires too and im located in philly. Maybe set up a listing on craigslist looking for 18 inch winter tires? Thieves are not the smartest people and will probably try to sell you your tires back ..then BAM! you can teach them a lesson.

but I will def. look out for these. I would post on g37nyc too. Thieves would try to sell these tires locally

You said they were stolen several weeks ago. Why did you just now notice they are missing? They are already sold and on someone else's car by now. Best of luck getting them back.

This is a homeowner's insurance claim, not auto policy.

You will most likely not get it back because it's a common winter setup. I even have the exact rims and tires as you did. No engraving or etching on the rims. Things happen........

Where in Jersey were they stolen from?

and leaving all that stuff outside over night, regardless of the area, was a terrible idea ... sorry you had to learn the hard way

Ummm, shouldn't the moving company have brought something big enough for one haul?

Wait, you left them out overnight on your driveway for the moving company to come and pick up the second load?!!?!

This is kind of closing the barn door after the cows are out, but it's a good idea to mark your wheels with a small inconspicuous indelible identifying mark. I mark mine on the outside of the barrel (where it cant be seen with tires mounted) that a thief wont notice but that you can tell the cops about to positively identify them as yours. Then if/when you bust them you can prove that they are yours and have been stolen.

I hope you get your wheels back.

On another subject, craigslist should just change their name to www.hookersandstolenshit.com
