Also did anybody read my coilover post? I REALLY want some good coilovers with US support and these are being reviewed by everybody else as WAYYYY BETTER than our other options (BC, KW, Tein HA) at this price point. On top of that they're local in VA and can rebuild in 3 days if something breaks - nobody other mfg can do that for us! I can't afford to buy TEN SETS tho so I need to find people who want a GREAT set of coilovers at a CHEAP price to go in with me. Help!

Alright guys, not sure if any of you will be interested because its the day before the Va Beach meet but im wanting to get some of ya'll together and try to go to the Richmond Auto Show. Its held the weekend of March 11th(friday)- March 13th(sunday). I was thinking of going Friday after work. Tickets are $9,if you have a student ID buy one ticket get a second adult admission free. Also, and this is kinda the main reason i go, they offer a free years subscription to Motor Trend Magazine with every ticket purchase. I will say, the auto show here in Richmond is nothing to write home about, but we are bunch of car guys and they do have a few nice concepts and pricey vehicles(Bentley's duhh) there to look at. Shouldn't take more than an hour to walk the showroom floor and get a good look at every car.So if you guys express some interest in it maybe we could get together and grab some dinner afterwards somewhere downtown. Time TBA once i see if any of you guys are interested.

Don't waste your money Rich, I went last month to the Baltimore one (same thing as Richmond but bigger). It was like walking to 8 different dealerships and seeing all the economy cars, but all in one building.
Note it has not always been like this, I've gone to Motor Trend every year for the last 4 years. 2 years ago it was awesome, they had the (then) new ISF, multiple GTRs (before you could see them on the streets), the preproduction G37 Vert, all sorts of exotics, all sorts of built race cars, etc etc. This year they had NOTHING besides boring production cars with a "green" theme. No GTR. A bone stock Titan. Yay.
So unless you're interested in the newest prius or chevy volt, spend that $9 on a subscription to a better magazine and save the gas money for a fun meet! lol

I should add that Christians 600 whp G37 was there at the baltimore show....that was neat to see, but it was behind a bunch of ropes so I couldn't even look in the engine bay. I dont know if he'll show at the motor trend show, but thought I should add he was there to represent (albeit parked next to a pink acura RSX that looked 95% stock..boooo)

I hear what ur saying Justin, i have been the last 3 years myself and have enjoyed it. I use to live in ATL and let me tell you that was a REAL autoshow. baltimore can't touch the atlanta show, so yes its a little disappointing but thats not the point. Great chance for us all to hang out with cars involved that aren't ours for once. Nevertheless, im gonna be there..hope some of you guys decide to show

No I think you misunderstood me....I'm from CA and frequently attend SEMA and other events in Vegas and Dallas with our race shop, so trust me I have a good basis of comparison.
My point was that the economy seems to have KILLED the Motor Trend show for 2011, at least in Baltimore. 2007-2009 was AMAZING, and 2010 was OK, but '11 sucked *****.
Im not disuading you from attending, just wanted to let you know up front in case you assumed it would be the same as previous years. Maybe Richmond will exceed and you'll be pleasantly suprised - I hope so!
BTW, what is the VA Beach meet? That was the first I have heard of it. Can you link to details?
