MD: Recommended Tint Shops?

I'm looking for recommendations where I should take my 37 to get tinted? The last two places I took it; D&L and a solo guy who did it on the side both did horrible jobs, and when I took it back, samething happened a couple months down the road (bubbling and peeling along with dust under the film). I'm fed up with the horrible tinting that was done and I'm looking for a truly professional shop that does a clean job so I don't have to go back every month. I'm in the Harford County area, but wouldn't mind a little bit of a travel (within an hour).

So far I've heard; Tint Man and HP Racing/Customs both in the Glen Burnie area, any others?

Hey, check out Solar Solutions... its in Laurel tho... maybe bit farther than you prefer down 95 from 695. Carlos is the owner, he tinted my 37 and added a nice 5% straight cut strip to the windshield on top of the factory (at my request) all for a very good price.

Lifetime Warranty and a great guy to deal with, which is why he has tinted all cars ive owned, my parents cars, and friends. If you dont mind the drive, worth a shot to see what he will charge.

Laurel is doable if the work is worth the drive. Have you had any issues with bubbles or peeling? Also, what kind of tint do they use?

Thanks

I heard good things about them. It's an hr and a half drive, but it may actually be worth it. Do you remember the price you paid and what percentage tint? Thanks

I havent had problems with bubbles or peeling which is why i keep going back to him. I forgot the name of the tint right now, sorry... but he doesnt really offer a choice... its just one kind.

+1 on Driven Dynamics, i heard good about them too and was planning on going there for something else. Seems they offer u diff choices with type of tint.

Dont get me wrong the Laurel place does use high quality tint, i just forgot the name brand and type. Tell him you were referred by the guy with the Blue G37 and were told that he does it for a great price... he might charge you $155 or less.

Check em out, and go with your gut. I dont think you can go wrong with either.

So I got the windows retinted at Driven Dynamics, the work was great and they were very informative about the different types and shades. I went with 35% non-metalized which gives it a little bit of a darker look then regular metalized tint and doesn't interfere with the in-dash navigation in our cars. They also gave me a pretty good discount because of story I gave them about how I've been to two places prior and having issues with peeling constantly.

Thanks for the recommendation guys!

Once the tint cures I'll snap a couple photos.

Hey guys, do any of the tint shops you recommended do BlueBat Overlays? I screwed up on my first set, and this time i want to get the overlays professionally installed.

Yeah I was talking to them about the overlays too, driven dynamcs do them and I've seen their work personally and it's top-notch. They carry; smoke, charcoal, blue and yellow for our specific vehicles plus others. If you want it done properly, have them do it.

Another vote for driven. their waiting room is like a living room. Nice tv, and what not to relax. Plus, their work is top notch. I have a car tinted by them.

Thanks guys. I was too busy to head over there this weekend. I have 3/10 smoke overlays on my headlights which do look good from a distance until you get up close.

I notice on driven dynamics website that they do their own overlays which is probably better. I am hoping I can get my front and rear re-done in 3/10. Probably heading up there this saturday.
