I notice on driven dynamics website that they do their own overlays which is probably better. I am hoping I can get my front and rear re-done in 3/10. Probably heading up there this saturday.
You should be able to... I believe it's all computer cut overlays so you can select any darkness. Let me know the outcome.

+1 on Driven Dynamics, i heard good about them too and was planning on going there for something else. Seems they offer u diff choices with type of tint.

Dont get me wrong the Laurel place does use high quality tint, i just forgot the name brand and type. Tell him you were referred by the guy with the Blue G37 and were told that he does it for a great price... he might charge you $155 or less.

Check em out, and go with your gut. I dont think you can go wrong with either.
What up Nav??

Driven Dynamics

OMG!!! Guys, they are a good shop. I went in with BatOverlays and I wanted to get them installed. I looked at the tint they were using and I decided to go ahead and let Driven Dynamics install their Lymanix(sp?) instead in gunsmoke. All in all, the install was like 45 mins. They are a really good group of guys. A++++ The owner has some Volk GTS that are damaged laying around. I am trying to see if he wants to sell them and I can repair them my self.

I know "thread is worthless without pics" but my car is extremely dirty from rain and the idiot weather casters said huge storm coming in on Sunday, so I did not wash my car. I will try to take pics later this evening if I wash my car.

"EDIT"

I have BlueBatmobile 3/10 Smoke Rear Overlays for sale for the G37. Never unwrapped from the tint packing and ready to be applied and/or shipped. PM me if anyone is interested.

awesome! good to know, i've been putting off going there to get their overlays. just been busy.

i plan on gettin the GT-R style tho with holes cutout... he wanted pics tho first to see what i was talking about.

if you dont mind posting here, or PMing me... how much did it run to have them do this all? I think it was like $80-$90 ballpark including the material...

Im up in Germantown looking to get my car tinted.... anyone want to post picks of what driven dynamics did for you? What % tint and what type?

I have a black on black car, any recommendations on what tint to get there?

Im also interested in the overlays... I haaaaaaaaaate the amber reflector in the headlight but some overlays look like they eliminate it, and others look like they really dont. If I cant find a good set of overlays that will eliminate it, I'll just drive to NY and have Igor@180customs paint my amber reflectors.

Driven tinted my G. I got the cermaic 35% which is plenty dark with attracting the cops here in MD. Driven is awesome. They can to the overlays and they use LAMENEX (sp?) which is better material then most here - IMO. I'll be away but should be back on monday. Shoot me a pm and I can meet up with you. Im in the Kentlands, so we're 5 mins apart give or take.

F*CK Driven Dynamics

I am pissed. I called them up at 10 this morning explained to them I bought the bats overlays and I dont like them (they are not dark enough). They told me it is fine and they cut their own. I ask if they can do GTR style cut outs and they say no problem. Also ask to do my black rear valance overlay I got from bats (still not on yet). Again, they tell me no problem. They set me up for 2:30.

I drive down there and there was more traffic than expected so I call and say I am running late, they said no problem. I arrived at 2:45. They come out and are looking at my tail lights and said they cut them by hand so the circles may not be perfect. They don't have a machine, so they cut them all by hand. They tell me they usually just cut simple squares. So I tell them just to put on the rear valance overlays. Then they tell me they don't want to use other peoples vinyl (claim their LAMANEX is better). But the problem is that theirs is not opaque black, more of a smoke. They finally agree to use Bats but say it is going to take two people to put it on and they are too backed up to get me in today (even though I set up an appointment). Ask me to bring my car back next week. F That.

So I just leave and head home (about 3:15 now on a Friday afternoon). I literally just got home 15 minutes ago (2 hours to drive 16 miles). So pissed.

So I was on driven's website looking at their specials, i emailed a guy for a quote, and i noticed that they have the option of doing a group buy. Anyone on here interested in getting together for a group buy at driven? Im guessing the discount would depend on how many cars we got, but i figured i would post up here first to see if anyone was planning on getting tint and would be interested.
