Yeah it's down right dangerous. If you have the sport edition it's going to be summer tires. I drove the G in 2" of snow once, never again. I almost lost control and almost hit a brick mailbox.

I drove last winter with the G, and my deployment is cut short so i don't have time to buy a beater. Another winter in the G here i come, and i still have summer wheels/tires on it right now. I just take it really slow.

Yep... once I get the differential fluid changed Tuesday I'm putting the car in the garage for the winter. I almost killed myself last year driving in the snow with summer tires.

Yup, tried snow and 18" summer tires once in NY with my old Alty SE-R, never again. Absolutely no grip, but then again I was driving it around the block just for the fun of it. Had to get a set of 17" Blizzacks. So far I've been pleased with the X's performance even with the OE Goodyears. I have the set of snows in the garage but really haven't felt the need to put them on yet.

That's really good, so the AWD has been pretty reliable so far?

Very surprising and reliable and this is my first experience with AWD. It's funny because initially I wanted a RWD G, but was hard pressed to find any in stock around here. My wife talked me into looking at the X and I'm a convert now!

All my prior cars have been fwd with either all seasons or snows. Here in the mid-atlantic region you really can get by with a decent set of all-seasons since we don't really see the snow like up north. During last winter's back to back storms I finally got the car dug out and took it around the neighborhood and it had quite a bit of grip, can't imagine how it would perform with snows on. The car is not invincible due to ground clearance and the all seasons, but if driven decently it's well controlled and fairly stable.

Can't wait until this weekend/Monday to see if we get a few inches. Need to find a parking lot and turn off the VDC!

Yeah it seems very manageable with those few inches of snow on the roadway. Good thing state is pretty good at keeping the roadways clear... if you can get out of your neighborhood, you should be okay.

Valentine 1 users any interest?

Hi,
I am not sure if many of you in the area are Valentine 1 users, but I have had my eye on this sweet custom setup with a laser system and was wondering if anyone else in the area would be interested in getting this setup. These guys travel but the systems aren't exactly cheap. PM me if you might be possibly interested! Below is the link to one of their systems

^ I use the Valentine 1... it's got me out of tickets so many times. That's a really cool set-up, but I guarantee it's expensive. They take the components out of the Valentine then cut your mirror to custom fit. The question is; what happens when you want to update your detector to the latest software?
