i'm down.

i want to put out a suggestion. what do you guys think of seacliff beach in Capitola. They have several BBQ pits and for those who surf and what not, the waves are pretty chilll out there.

 

oh yeah and i feel the sooner the better. it's getting ****ing colder and colder, not to mention snowboard season opens up the week b4 the 20th and thanksgiving the weekend of the 27th. i'm sure alot of people will be gone then, or out with families..

 

That's actually a pretty good idea, GTF. Isn't it going to be a bit chilly though? Keep the ideas flowing . . . Depending on the number of people showing up . . . We might need a large area to stage everyone.

Actually, how far is Capitola from Santa Cruz? The wife and I have been to the Shadowbrook Restaurant a few times on our way to Carmel.

 

capitola is the next city over. it's like a five minute drive from the boardwalk.

 

Thanks for the info. This is very helpful. Is there a parking lot there where we can take some pics with a nice background of the ocean?

 

I can't wait for this ride! I say we stage at Alice's and wait for the slow pokes to catch up. JK! I gotta work the 13th but might be able to do a shift change.

 

Jeff, would love to have you join us on this run. I am essentially open to all 3 dates. I'll let the poll decide. We'll have a definitive date by next Friday, when the polling has ended.

yeah it actually has a rather nice backdrop and a pretty extensive parking lot that probably spans a few hundred cars deep.

only downside is since it's a state beach, there is a charge for parking. $5 i think

Wonderful! We're getting some good interest for this Santa Cruz run. The poll will close next Friday Morning. I trust there will not be a tie on the date for the run. In the event that there is a tie, I will cast the deciding vote, since I am available on all 3 dates.
