Searching for a good spot for a photo shoot

I recently developed an interest in photography, and am looking for a good spot for a photo shoot (of my car) in SF or the Peninsula.

Any recommendations?

Well, if you want a view of SF, there's the usual Treasure Island and north side of the GG Bridge.

You may also want to try Fort Point, and also in front of the Palace of Fine Arts? Also, the Conservatory of Flowers in GG Park seems pretty nice for a shoot. I've also noticed some decent spots on PCH between SF and Half Moon Bay. There's also the area around Crystal Springs Reservoir, off the 92.

You might also want to try the top of the Twin Peaks area, though I'm not sure you can get a good photo angle.

depends on what you want. There are a lot of empty modern buildings on the weekends around here. What would be cool is to let your Girlfriend drive it through downtown SF and get some moving shots of her going by. They would look similar to the ones in brochures

That's a pretty good idea- but I am not letting my girlfriend drive my car!

Hey Boris, I need some better shots of my G. Maybe you could practice your new interest on my ride.

Sure- but be advised the skills are not yet there. I've got a decent 5 megapixel camera, but when I learn some more about photography I plan to buy a DSLR.

Unfortunately I'm not going to drive 1.5 hours for a photo shoot, but I know what you are referring to.

also if you want to take some moving shots, you will need 3 people, including you. of course you would want to be on the pic, second, driving the other car, and third the photographer. i've done this before for my friend and we took it @ the bay bridge, east bound (below).
