Advice on a G that needs work
Looking for advice.
I have a 2010 G37 with 150K.
It's in great shape and I really love the car.
It needs some work.
Dealership said, front drive shaft, front front control arms and water pump.
I can't put $7k into the car so I asked another shop and there quote was similar.
Aftermarket parts are only like $500, but I'm too old to try to do it myself.
What do you do? Is it possible to find a reasonable place to get the work done?

Really depends on where you live and going rate for labor. You might want to a second opinion on everything to makes sure it all needs replaced.
You could also ask the technician for an itemized priority list, meaning what do you need replaced NOW and what can wait and what is the cost of each repair.

Did the other shop actually inspect your car or did they just provide you a quote over the phone?
As beefychicken suggested, prioritize what must be repaired now and pace the other items as time/ budget/ urgency dictates.
Based on your list, I would consider the water pump to be a critical item that needs to be addressed immediately. Out of curiosity, what symptoms do you have leading to suspect a bad water pump? These Aisin water pumps are pretty rock solid and rarely fail- are you losing coolant/ overheating? This will likely be the most expensive repair only due to the amount of time it takes for dis/re-assembly as the entire front of the engine has to be removed to access the pump.
What is wrong with the front driveshaft?
What is the issue with the control arm(s)?
