New G Owner from Nashville

Hello Everyone,

Just got a new to me 2011 G37x a couple of weeks ago, here it is below in it's stock form. This particular car has been in the family for the last few years, first it was my mom's, then my sister's, now I've bought it to replace my 2005 Altima. Definitely quite the upgrade, speaking of upgrades I have a few things in store over the coming weeks. Just got it back from getting ceramic tint this morning. Also just took a set of square set of rear Rays forged G35 wheels to get powder coated. I decided to get a square set so I could properly rotate tires without any issues to the AWD. Along with that I have a set of Swift drop springs on the way from Z1, and in the process of looking for a RWD rear sway bar. Also, from my last few weeks lurking, I discovered the excellent write up on putting black vinyl on the chrome window trim, so that will be happening in the next few days, along with removing some badges from the trunk. And that trunk....I'm not sure how long I can look at the chrome strip across the top of the trunk, anyone have any suggestions on decent low profile spoilers? Anyways thanks to everyone for all the info I've already found, really appreciate the knowledge on this forum. Glad to finally join!

Welcome to the forum, Frogman.

On that trunk project of yours... how about painting that chrome strip body color to match? It's a less involved modification, less expensive and somewhat unique looking. You could remove the piece, and drop it off at a trusted body shop. And if you still want to cover it with a spoiler down the road, you can do that too.

Thanks, that's a good suggestion, should be relatively inexpensive as well.

I think your best option is the OEM Rear Deck Spoiler. I came across mine BNIB & painted from Inifiniti on Ebay for about $190 shipped to my door. I didn't bother drilling into the trunk in those areas on the edges so if I want to return it to stock one day I can.

Welcome and enjoy!
