Hello!
FINALLY!!!!! I got my G37 Coupe after years of lusting. Its been a long time coming, but I am glad it's finally here! No words can express the pure joy and excitement I have been feeling since Monday night. I finally got the green light to get from the my pregnant (8mos) wife! It was a hard sell but we have a RAV4 so we're good! But once I received her blessing, by making sure of course I got ALL the new baby needs purchase, it was literally off to the races. After many searches, found my "other" baby! I wanted an "S" but the "xS" I found had a salvage title and since I'm not necessarily a wrenchhead, I need a safer pick as this is going to be my daily driver until my "unicorn" arrives by way of the Q60S Red Sport 400. Mines is Ivory Pearl with Grey interior. Little sad it's not an "S" but once I learned I can still get the paddleshifters installed I felt a lot better. I got the car for a pretty decent price all things considered. Lucky for me I work in a place where I can take unlimited trips outside, because that's exactly what I have been doing. Fell asleep with the ACC on and battery died, I was awaken but rain, in sheer panic mode trying to get a jump, it didn't dawn on me the window was down. Well the heart attack grew worse when I finally got the car started only to find my window wasn't going up. Thankfully a quick Youtube tutorial and my crisis was abated. I have been so psyched since Monday night, I thought I would never get my dream car and it's finally here! Trying stay on a budget (and married) what are some basic mods that are inexpensive? Not necessarily from a performance standpoint, this is the fastest car I have owned hands down, just some appearance tweeks? Thanks all and glad to be a part of the community!

Axle-backs are cheap.
You can certainly improve grip with summer tires. You don't indicate where you live so if you have four seasons, that may not be feasible as a new daddy.
At least you have the best brakes already.
Another cheap improvement is a RWD S rear sway bar. The AWD has the largest front sway bar but the thinnest rear bar for that safe plow-through-the-fence-forward handling. The RWD S rear bar really improves the transient feel of the car.
The axle-back and sway bar can often be found in the site's classifieds forum.

With a new baby on the way you're not going to have much spare time to devote to the new baby in the garage...
There's tons of useful information here which can help guide you once that mod bug bites.
Congrats on the new car (and the new family). Welcome to the site...

Which is why I am looking for small projects. The GTR red button swap, adding the paddle shifters, adding a rear spoiler. Carbon fiber interior; stuff I can do in less than an hour.

Just some simple mods,
1. iPhone Bluetooth Audio for music
2. Interior Trim
3. Spoiler (Still mulling options, thinking about the OEM sport spoiler and wrap it in Carbon Fiber)
4. Powder coating wheels black
5. Black out the grill (currently thinking about options as I do not want to have to remove the bumper unless I upgrade the headlights)
6. Upgrade the headlights or just remove the oxidation from the current ones
7. If I keep the factory head lamps, definitely getting Halos
8. Plasti-dipping the emblems
9. Adding the Paddle shifters
10. Updgrading the Push Button to red.
Since I am only using this as a daily driver, not focusing on performance at the moment. So for now budget is set at 2500.
Now once I get the Q60 then I will start to performance upgrades.
