Incoming G owner!
Hey guys, Yesterday I, after searching high and low for something just right for about 3 months, I found an infiniti dealer that had a great deal on a used 2013 xS coupe. Paperwork has been signed, my trade in (2010 Lancer ralliart) appraised and I should be able to pick her up soon!
I feel like I did okay on the lancer platform, but the last year or so, dual clutch issues were getting the better of me...that and starting to meet a lot more clients due to the nature of my work I wanted to be taken a little more seriously pulling up, lol. Also, it's always been a goal of mine since high school to attain my favorite engine note from a VQ
Below are pictures of my (for now) car, and my future car
I am not without questions though!
1. Please somebody explain to me what THIS is circled in red. I assumed an intake. somebody else haas said valance....can I get a few definite answers? (my particular xS doesn't have one, but I've been so curious.
2. I'm looking to do very stock+ mods this time around. Even considering keeping the stock wheels and powdercoating them. Are there any recommended brands for wheel spacers to get them flushed to the body?
3. I've heard swift springs are ideal for the X over Eibach mainly for comfort. Any merit to that?
Anyway, without further adieu..

Welcome to the site, looks like a nice XS coupe you found and your Mistsu looked like a fun one too.
The part circled looks like it might be the window for the adaptive cruise control, my 09 sedan doesn't have it so can't say for sure.
H&R, Ichiba, and site vendor B2Autodesigns have good spacers.
Swifts would get the nod as far as lowering springs, there's a few good coilovers to consider as well. Check this thread for specifics~

see I can see how you would think that too, but if you take a look at this bit of a review of one (Skip to 4:52), you can actually see it open up while driving. Yes this is technically a Q60, but I have definitely seen the same scoops on 2013's before the name change as well

Here's a thread about that, not sure why it opens & closes but maybe to keep debris contact to a minimum when not in use?
