New G37xS owner -- Some questions

Hey everyone, after a year or so of shopping around for a new car to replace my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon that I owned for about a decade, I finally decided on the G37xS. Finding one was difficult, finding one under 50k miles was even harder but I managed to find one just under 30k miles for 20k $ USD.

I was excited! Test drove one in my area but the low mileage one was a 3.5 hour drive away in Chicago. Though I'm happy with my purchase I do have some things I'd like to ask about.

(1) The ride feels a bit stiff or rough. Test driving the car was fine but the long drive home felt really rough. Is it just the sport (stiff) suspension im not used to or should I get it checked out (I'm considering doing my 30k service asap)

(2) The car has a handful of paint chips although they are super minor. What method do you guys recommend to fill them in without straight up painting them?

(3) I'm interested in getting a dash cam. What do people recommend and is there a nice install guide for making it look 'clean' ?

(4) On a similar vein, are there any cell phone mounts or w/e you guys would recommend? Currently I just kinda use my cup holders but I feel like I could do better now that I have a nicer car.

(5) Any cheap or minor DIY things that are popular mods for the G37? Anything common most people change for quality of life or something like that? Sorry if that's a bit vague but I thought I should ask anyways.

Thanks it advance!

--EDIT-- I should note that I have the sedan.

The G suspension is rather soft. If you feel it's rough, look at the dampers for leaks or tires.

I use the Pro-Clips USA cell phone mount in my car. The location can interfere with the passenger climate control ****, but its not too bad.

I have the xS coupe, so I cannot speak to your suspension question.

Paint chips are just a PITA to deal with. Get some touchup paint and some fine applicators. Clean the surface very well, then hit it with IPA to remove any old wax, etc. Layer the paint into the chip. This may require more than one application. You can search online for more detailed instructions, but there are people who make their living doing this type of work, if you're inclined to pay for it.

Quick and simple mods are LED light replacement, Carsmo ***** for the radio/AC controls and de-badging the trunk.

I've never heard anyone say that. Though not trying to argue, I think most will agree the G is a "firmer, sportier" ride. Not harsh, but not super smooth either. If you're going in for service anyway, have a mechanic you trust check the suspension. Also what type of tire do you have? If it's any sort of runflat tire it will add to or cause roughness

I agree, I think the regular and X sedan suspensions are relatively soft - mushy even. Unless the car was modded with different suspension and/or summer only tires, it should be a relatively plush ride.

The S rwd and Xs coupe models have a different suspension which is definitely stiffer, coupled with the summer tires makes for a harsh ride on poor surfaces. The Xs sedan is mostly a cosmetic package with few of the bits that make it a true 'sports' sedan.

That was my thought as well - either the struts are going out and / or the suspension was modified somehow. This is the first time I heard someone say that sedan suspension is rough.

While the S suspension is firmer than the non-S, in the overall scheme of things it's pretty soft.

Just got my car back from doing a 30k service (also included checking the suspension + they did a test drive to see if anything was wrong) -- Guess it's just how the car is. No problems.
