Newbie checking in :)

Hi there -

My name's Kimberly and I just landed a gently used 2013 Infiniti G37x Sedan. I've graduated from a 2001 Toyota Celica that I had for around 14 years. I plan to baby the hell out of this thing, as I've learned from my mistakes with the Celica.

I want to get into some aesthetic modding but I literally know nothing about this stuff. I found the newbie modding thread which helps me know what to look for, but it's still overwhelming and I feel a bit "lost." Where do most people begin? I'll have to do things gradually, as I don't have a plethora of cash available. Time to start saving!

Thanks for the help!

Congrats on the new car, black is always nice, you can start from many different places, I actually just got into a sedan coming from a coupe less than a month ago.

First thing I bought is I went ahead and bough headlight bulbs from Diode Dynamics for 40.00 and I went for the 8000k witch is deep blue since I like the color but the most popular is 6000k cool white I think with a hint of blue. Also I tinted the windows of they aren't tinted yet

Second I went ahead and getting my headlights customized done in So Cal and adding some gloss black to them.

Third I want to wrap my chrome grille gloss black, window trim gloss black, debadge infiniti and g37 and wrap the infiniti sign (mt fuji).
That's it for now until I saw up for some lowering springs to get rid of the wheel gap and start saving up for some wheels witch are like 2k with tires but it'll take some time.

There's so much that can be done its overwhelming lol good luck and enjoy!!

Welcome to the site, just take this stuff in small doses and you'll be OK. Browse the folders, ask questions along the way, we're here to help!

Thanks guys.

Ricio, I'm getting tint done tomorrow. I definitely want to lower her some and get new wheels. From what I can tell, that seems to be a very pricey endeavor.

What body kits are available for the sedans? The Infiniti website has the IPL kit only available for the coupe. I'm not sure where else to look. :/

Not many body kits for the sedans and the only ones out there are $$$. You might be better off just going with the oem sport lip and maybe a diffuser for the rear. As always wheels and a drop are mandatory but make sure you do your homework so you don't regret your next purchase.
