New to MyG37!

Hello all,

I'm a proud owner of a 2013 G37X Sport. I've had it a few days now and can't wait to take it on the mountain roads in Colorado.

Funny enough, it was between this car and a new ForesterXT. That car is FUN to drive and can handle offroad terrain. Gas mileage was way better as well, but I think it's been proven by now that we have plenty of natural resources to go around. We can't even find places to store all the glut.

Anyway, question for 37x owners - what has been your experience with the AWD? What about Snow mode? Any tricks/advice/etc?

Thanks,

David

Welcome!

The G's AWD system is rear biased- it only sends power up front when the rear wheels lose traction. Thus the sporty feel b/c it's basically a RWD car with the ability to go AWD. Tires are probably going to be your limiting factor getting through the white stuff.

Snow Mode (in case you haven't already found this) locks the vehicle in AWD mode. It's recommended only for low speeds. I haven't had my G in snow yet (just got it last month), so I can't verify how well this works yet

It locks it to 50/50 power distribution up to 12 mp/h, and reduces throttle response to limit slip, then goes to normal operation after that.
