Newbie from Fayetteville, NC
Proud owner of a 2013 G37 Sedan Sport (Malbec Black). I struggled to find this car with around 30k miles on the odometer. Car, minus some paint, is in flawless condition. Elated to have the true sport vs sport appearance package. Looking to implement tint on the car (3M Crystalline unless suggested otherwise).
Such a massive upgrade (minus fuel eco) over my 2011 Hyundai Sonata. Prior to the Sonata I owned a BMW 328i. The Sonata, minus age, was a massive downgrade in all regards.
So coming from a baseline Sonata with 190hp to this Infinity is quite the shock. Is there anything I should be aware of? I will be using premium fuel. I've read it can use regular conventional oil. Is semi-syn the OEM?

Welcome to the site and congrats on finding just the G you wanted, that Malbec is a nice color
As far as oil, if you plan on changing it every 3500 miles regular dino is fine. If you want to go 6k between changes I'd run full synthetic. I use Pennzoil Platinum and change every 6k and have had good Blackstone UOAs FWIW. I also use the larger oil filters for the Infiniti V8s, the OEM G filter is just a bit larger than a thimble.
Enjoy the G and the site.

Don't have it written down but the last one I used was a Bosch Premium filter for the Infiniti V8, you can use a 2011 Infiniti M56 as an application but they've been using the same filter at least as far back as the M45. They're at least 30% larger but still fit easily inside the plastic splash guard.

Welcome. I have the clearest 'shade' of 3M Crystalline film on my windshield and could not be happier with the interior heat reduction. From what I remember the darkest Crystalline my installer had was something I'd hardly call a "tint", so I had Llumar brand installed on the other windows. Can't go wrong with either brand and your interior will thank you. I've used whatever filters/oil Infiniti calls for since about 2003/2004 without issue.
I've driven Hyundais as rentals over the years and I'll be honest, I've been impressed, even with some miles on them they seem like well built cars. A relative has a brand new Sonata Ltd. Hybrid Blue something, its a beautiful car. But I was around in the mid 80's when the Excel hit the US. The name has a stigma etched in my brain, I just couldn't own one. Yes, I am this shallow, LOL.
