Surface Rust on Undercarriage G37x

[IMG][/IMG]Hi all. See the thumbnail below. Just purchased a 2011 g37x from Pennsylvannia and had it checked out at my local mechanic shop AFTER purchase (I know STUPID). Well he said there is some surface rust but nothing to worry about. Its still under basic warranty til September, is there anything I could do to remove/protect it? Worth trying to return to dealer?

100% normal, which is exactly what you will hear from the dealer. I wouldn't mess with any of it myself. If you really wanted to, you could try some aerosol rust converter/primer. Mar-Hyde or Duplicolor at most auto/home improvement stores or Eastwoods version online.
