Purchasing my first G-- Need Advice

Hello all,
Im new to the forum, so hello! Im a 25 year old that is current living in Houston, and Im looking into purchasing my first Infiniti.

The dealership that I have been working with has many used G37s that I would love to take home.

However, Im very indesisive, and I would love some input.

I am torn between two cars. The main issue Im running in to is choosing the interior and exterior colors.

Black Exterior or Dark Grey? I know black looks awesome, but its also very hard to keep clean. And when its dirty, its really dirty. Grey is nice, but is it hard to keep clean, also?

Light interior or dark interior? I enjoy the light interior because here in Houston, it gets HOT. Its nice to have a seat thats not steaming hot when you sit on it. However, the light interior seems to me like its dirty. it doesnt look at "slick and clean" as a black interior.

What does everyone think? Any personal opinions on this matter? Anything helps.

I currently have a White scion TC with a black interior. I love white, but i want to try something new.

These are the cars that im looking at purchasing:
2012 Infiniti G37 Coupe Houston TX

or

2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe Houston TX

PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS! The dealer has agreed on 27.8k for the 2012 Grey and 28.4k for the 2011 Black.

I would do the black 2011 for a couple of reasons.

1. Less Miles
2. I can't imagine that you need an AWD in Houston.
3. The Stone interior is going to be much nicer in the summer heat. Add in, I really like the Brazil Redwood trim on my Tan G over the Aluminum trim. It "warms" the interior up.

If you can find a RWD w/ the S (sport) package that's a big plus, you get the big brakes, limited slip differential, bigger wheels w/ better tires, shift paddles w/ the AT, sport seats and a bit firmer suspension.
I agree about skipping the AWD unless you're planning on spending a lot of time in snow country.

I personally prefer black but I do like the color combo more on the 2012 because of darker interior.

+1 on finding an S model

S package is great.

I have a Stone interior and while I love it, I do wish I had a black interior b/c it ages much better. You don't see the marks from your belts, the subtle dirt, or the leather creases. Besides, I think the black interior/hotter idea is vastly overrated.

Since you're in Houston you should check Texas Direct Auto, here's a nice Black Coupe w/ the S package w/ 20k miles. That dealer gets great feedback and has a huge selection.

One of my cars is black, looks great when it's clean but it gets dirty in the garage. I couldn't imagine having a black car as a dd, but I'm a little OCD about the appearance of my vehicles. I went with graphite shadow on the g37 and really like it. I have also had the lighter interior on a previous infiniti. It is definitely cooler temperature wise but showed more wear as time progressed. Good luck with the hunting.
