Hello and welcome. Wiuld like to ask your opinion on the drive of the RX-8 in comparidon to the 37S PLZ. I've never driven an RX-8....but I did consider buying one briefly the 1st couple years they were out.

The RX-8 is built on the miata chassis, it has a real low center of gravity and 50:50 weight. Really sticks itself well on the corners and you gotta rev it to redline due to it's gutless nature. It's a rotary so it's not great on mpg or reliability lol. But i absolutely adore it. It's definetely an enthusiast car not built for the masses.

Thanks, that's an all encompassing review there I like it. I was watchin that show Top Gear and they were taking about the RX-8 being fun to drive into corners that's why I asked. I doubt you'll fibd much "gutless nature" in your newest ride. Then again you sound like the kind of person who already knows which two vehicles you own and why.
Oh and as for the bags and the te37s....pure class I love those wheels. I haven't dabbled much in lowering yet, but if I'm not mistaken aren't bags the expensive option? Woukd go right along with the te37's

Bags and wheels will be expensive but I only want the best. After that, maybe Wald kit

This topic has recently been beaten to death on a different thread, but you asked about shortcomings and I think it should be addressed. IM not sure if it's fair to call it a fix for any "shortcomings" that the G37S have...I feel like there aren't amy. However, from personal experience driving the convertible 37 vs the coupe G35, I feel like the vert was a little sluggish in some of my aggressive driving situations where I like to have my fun. This could be caused by the weighty mechanism for the retraction of the roof and not be an issue at all for the coupe/sedan. Anyway long story long...I think you should consider a long tube cold air intake. They are affordable and so far the clear winner in the race for the best mod I have put on my ride. I paid for the bolt on performance mods before I started on outer appearance mods tho. Which ones I will appreciate more remains to be seen.

Not sure if this was addressed yet but this is not a tuner car. It's slow and fat. Coming from an RX-8 I guess you won't be worried about the crappy gas miles but I'm sure you'll notice a difference in perfromance. Also even with the sport suspension it needs at least sway bars. If your just looking for a nice car to cruise in this one is fine.
