Spitfire's 6MT G37S
Hi all,
My love for the Zs/Gs started with the early model 300ZX. After much debate, I came to the conclusion that I'd either have to put a lot of work into restoring from from the 80's or pay a pretty penny for one that was mint/restored. I rather enjoyed the 80's body style instead of the 90's TT models (even though i know that the serious power is in the TT).
Enter a pre-owned 2011 6MT G37S. My previous car was a heavily modded GTI and as much as I love the luxury features of this car, I do miss that turbo spool!
Anyways, here's the Good/Bad/Ugly. I'll start a build thread soon!
Good: Decently low miles. This car is a 2011 with 46,000 - not horrible for my DD. This was a one owner loan return that exclusively serviced at the dealer. The engine bay/suspension was untouched.
Bad: Not digging the matte black grill at all. That'll be fixed with ASAP with a gloss black vinyl wrap. One of the wheels has a nasty rock chip in it (pictured below). What is the best way to repair that?
Ugly: Dallas parking garages and downtown roads are SCRAPE CENTRAL. Can my front lip be buffed out or will it need to be repainted? I'm not going to lower this car because it already scrapes around town. Also, the chrome spoiler is ugly but that'll soon be replaced with a color matched OEM spoiler.
Really ugly: The clutch/shifter have some squeak to them but the car is still under warranty so i'll let the dealer take care of that.
So far the only mods that were done by me have been the R2C air intake/hood liner removal and I'm installing green LEDS this weekend, courtesy of Diode Dynamics. I look forward to meeting some of y'all. When are the DFW meets?

Congrats on the nice looking coupe and welcome to the site. There should be some wheel repair places in DFW area for that rock chip or if you can get the color code some touch up paint might make it less obvious.
Look forward to your build thread.

Thanks! It's quickly becoming addicting to mod. Most of the leds are in with the exception of the glove box. I'm waiting on a new cabin filter to arrive so that I can knock out the filter/glove light all at once.
Next up: either repaint or wrap my grille to a gloss black finish and vinyl wrap the roof in gloss black. I'll probably debadge the Infiniti letters and leave the Fuji/G37S logo. I'm nervous of ghosting!

Nice ride man. Im already feeling the white car with the lime green calipers and black wheels. I'm on the fence about the spoiler but I belueve I'll end up going with one (they are so affordable on eBay and I've seen a few pics of them on they look pretty good). Also planning on debadging up to the fugi symbol. I've seen it on other guys cars on the site....I think stripping it down to just the fugi is pure class
