"I don't have enough money for..."
I see threads posted from time to time that start off with "I don't have enough money for (mod x), should I just get (mod y - probably a counterfeit part or lesser quality alternative to mod x) instead until I can afford mod x? I only have (50% of the cost of mod x) to spend. What's your opinion?"
If you will be completely content with mod y then you should get in in the first place and save your money and be happy. Why do you need validation form strangers on the internet? If you know that mod y is not up to the standard of mod x but you simply cannot afford it, just save money until you can get mod x in the first place rather than just buying something of lesser quality or that you really won't be completely satisfied with. Settling for a knockoff or something you really want could cause problems with your car depending on what the part is (e.g. putting a replica "full stainless steel" $200 knockoff exhaust on your car that has welds that may crack or tubing that may rust) or at the very least make you appear to be an idiotic poser (e.g. if you do something like mistakenly represent your Rotas Grids as Volk TE37 to someone who knows the difference.
If you are asking, you probably already know the answer and just want validation to be cheap. Save your money and buy what you really want.
