MPG's

Leased a G35S sedan for myself from 2009 to 2012, I was getting 17 city and 24 highway with a very spirited driving style.

A few months back I picked up a new 2013 G37S sedan on close out for the wife. She has a very easy going driving style and is getting 27 on the highway which is great, but in the city is a totally different story at 14 mpg.

That seems extremely low to me, any thoughts on the subject?

There's a few large threads on the subject, not uncommon to see such large differences in city/hwy miles. These cars' mpg tend do get better after a few thousand miles on them, and maybe your wife lets the car loose when you're not w/ her

I thought about that so we swap cars for a week, I got 13 trying really hard to behave myself lol.... But you make a good point on the miles, I just checked and it only has 1274 miles on it.

That is exactly normal.

Just returned from a round trip from NJ to Florida
The two weeks we spent in Florida with short trips is clearly shown in the photo below. Those short trips gave me a 16.64 MPG for the two weeks on a single tankful
It took four fill ups to get there and four fill ups to return
Best mileage on a tankful was on the return from Ashland, Va to home
300 miles and 10.539 gallons to fill up for a 28.49 MPG.
I only use regular 87 octane mostly from WaWa in NJ as it gives me excellent mileage.

Also stop at Loves on I95 in Dillon, SC as it is near a large Harbor Freight warehouse and retail store
