New member of the G37 club!
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself and the new ride to the forum! Just picked her up today. 2010 G37S in Athens Blue. I was really wanting a 6MT, however, the deal for this 7AT one was just too good to pass up, and so far I completely love it. The car is very planted and putting my foot down is addicting - especially coming from a 1.8T Audi A4 (fantastic car, but just low on power).
I plan on getting the windows tinted very soon. I definitely want to put some work into the car as finances permit. That being said, what are some cool minor mods that you guys recommend? I plan on changing the city lights to some LED ones like I did on my Audi as well as changing the not so pretty yellow cabin lights.
I look forward to reading the forum and of course enjoying the G!
PS - When I took it off the lot today and tried to play some music from my iPhone (via the AUX input) it refused to shuffle playlists. I pressed the shuffle button at the bottom right of the screen when playing a song and then it just reverted it back to not-shuffle mode. But then later in the day it worked fine, and then later again it refused to shuffle. Have you guys encountered this problem? Am I missing something silly? No navigation and iPhone 4S.

Ooh I love that color too, very nice pick. Congrats and welcome to the forum. When ur shopping for tint, take in account that this is a coupe not a 4dr car therefore if u get 5% on the rear windows and 20% on the fronts then it won't look that dark. Unless u like it not dark. I made the mistake of getting that setup and I'm gonna go back and get 5% all around. I've always had 4dr cars so it always seemed darker to me since it had more windows. Pocket friendly mods would be tinting ur tails and dipping ur stock wheels.

Welcome to the brotherhood! I wish I could tell you more about the streaming question, but I don't have that feature on my car. Athens Blue is so lovely. Congratulations! you should probably check out Diode Dynamics for most of your LED concerns. I have nothing but the best things to say about their business. I like to keep things clean and simple on my ride, and I've installed a few things from them to help me to that end.
I'm also in the Atlanta area- keep the car clean, man!

Oh- and it is just my opinion, but 5% is entirely too dark for front or rear windows. Plus, that is well below the legal limit here in Georgia. I'd go legal and get 35% all around or maybe 20ish% on the rear window.

Welcome and congrats! As far as the city lights, you can hit up diodedynamics, they've got all the interior lights as well. If you change the city lights though, Make sure you get the type of led that can make the best of the entire inside of the housing, otherwise imo, it looks weird. Enjoy your stay!
