Why...

Why hello there I'm Nhu, pronounced new *the American version anyways, and I'm new here. go freaking figure.

Picked up 2010 G37 sedan last summer. Been awfully busy working, poor baby hasn't gotten no love. I have some ideas, but I'm getting a lot of vetoes from my boyfriend. I'm not suggesting eye lashes or anything I swear.

However, I'm considering bagging my car, but my boyfriend insists on just lowering it. Suggestions?

I'll be the first to welcome you, so welcome, and enjoy the ride! Bags versus springs versus coil overs. That's a hot topic in this forum. I think it really depends on what you plan on doing with YOUR car and YOUR vision for it. The cool thing about air bags is that you can control the ride height from in the car and on the go most times. I'm not sure about the performance aspect of air bags though. Coil overs are great for "aggressive" steering and a lot of times are adjustable as well, just not from in the vehicle. Lowering springs (depending on brand) offer a lower cost alternative to a drop in ride height and slightly better handling, although.you probably will feel a little rougher ride. (Some of us like that) I personally went with the Eibach competition pro kit. It offered a modest drop and a nice feel in handling under "spirited driving". Anyway, keep us posted on your build for the car, and include pictures!

Welcome to the site, looks like you've been here for 10 months so hopefully you've browsed the site a bit. Bags are a big investment so if possible I'd try to see a bagged G in person, talk to the owner see if it's what you really want. Maybe there's some car meets up in Sacramento to see various setups. If not, just browse the media share section of the site or spend time in the Suspension folder to get more details.
Look forward to any other plans you may have!

Welcome to the forum Nhu. Bags vs coilovers is an apples vs oranges situation. There are pros and cons both ways. My opinion is coilovers. Personal preference.

Welcome and leave it stock!

I think now you have all ends of the spectrum. Anyway definately do your research and if at all possible ride in cars with the various set ups so you can decide what works best for you. The worst thing is when you spend money and do a modification and then don't like it and spend money to change it. Take your time, research and do it right the first time,

Thanks, yes, I have been a member for quite some time. I'd come by here and there, but so caught up at work, haven't had any free time. I have yet done anything to the car, everything is stock right now. Thanks for the suggestions!
