Yet another oil change ?

Looked at most the research so now I'm more confused.
Just got a 2011 convertible for the wife with 12,000 miles.
Dealer did the first 2 changed, last one at 9 k
My plan is to change it myself at about 13-14k
I have used Mobil 1 for many years and was was thinking about sticking w it and use a 5w30 although I still have some 0w40 let over from the mb sl500 we traded.
Think Walmart will exchange
I was also thinking about going w a Mobil 1 filter and heard the 110 was a bit larger than the recommended 108 so I was looking at it.
After reading through the posts I now am considering using pennzoil ( ultra if able to find it or platinum - any difference?) and a purolater bigger filter as shown on the 370 site.
I also had considered the factory filter?
Any comments?
I know a lot of it is personal preference but I am unsure if all good quality products are about the same.
I plan to go to a 5k interval after this change.
On a side note we also just got a Lexus es 350 w 120k
Dealership says they were using a castrol Syn blend instead of full synthetic .
Should I stick with this or switch to what ever I go with in the g to make matters simpler ( only have to keep one jug for both)
PS i was also thinking about getting a set of the rhino ramps vs jack and stands. Also thinking about changing out to a K&N air filter (need that extra 100 hp they claim ) just because the one that's in it will soon be 2 years old. I know age really didn't matter but i can get one at advance for under $40 with a code.
Comments?

The more you look at all the oil info on the site the more questions you'll probably have rather than answers.
FWIW this has been my schedule for the last few oil changes w/ some nice UOAs from Blackstone.
OCI 6k miles
Pennzoil Platinum 5w20
Bosch Premium Filter that's the larger one for the M56 (been using the bigger filters for a couple years now)
BTW, welcome to the site & congrats on the new G!

Just don't use Crisco or other cooking oils and you'll be fine

I prefer to use oem filters while the car is under warranty.

The local Infiniti dealer uses Mobil 1 oil/filter, so I do also. On the Rhino ramps, they work fine. I have a Zspeed under engine cover which makes access for an oil change a breeze. There are other's out there that are similar.
