I have a 2008 G37 Coupe with 64k miles, the only issue I've had yet is my catalytic converter needed to be replaced and it was under warranty so no cost for me. oh yeah the paint is really fragile gets scratched easy.

The only concern w/ an 09 would be the warranty, may not have any left or only a month or two. Always nice to have a warranty, especially on a used car that may have issues that weren't handled by the previous owner. Might keep looking for a while, might be able to find a 2010 for a similar price and you'll have a full years warranty left. FWIW I'm on my 2nd G, sold the first one to a friend and it now has about 90k miles w/ absolutely no issues other than a couple minor Service bulletin issues that were handled no charge. Our current G has 50k miles and again no issues other than the Auto transmission updates. Agree about the weak paint, if you can find a used G w/ a clear bra installed that's a nice bonus Also be sure to run your car by the dealer as soon as you can (if it's a private sale), they should be able to tell you if all the TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) have been applied, or what TSBs apply to your vehicle. Here's a link to most TSBs
