Newb tire question. Help

Hey guys I have a g37x with 18" wheels and need new tires. The tires currently on are 225/50R18.

I found a couple good deals on tires but dont know if they will fit or cause any problems. Would it be ok to replace them with 4 tires on that are 225/45R18 or 4 tires that are 245/50R18. These would be going on the stock 18" X sedan wheels.

Also which tires would you recommend that arent too expensive?

Thanks

I just replaced my tires and went with Kuhmos all season. Got them at sears...balanced all for $1,000. So far the car rides very well. Much quieter than the factory tires.

245/45/18 would be ideal size, only .66% difference than your original tire diameter, The 245/50/18 will be almost 3% difference. With an AWD X it's best to be as close to original diameter to keep your speedo, traction control, and AWD system functioning properly. Also going w/ 245s will give it a better look and the vehicle more planted.
