IMO do not FI your G. I went down this road and got BURNED pretty bad. They is nor will be any warrenty at all. Yes Stillen has a warrenty BUT you can not have the retuned and their tune is HORRIABLE. You would basical pay $8,000 parts and labor and pick up 40 WHP? Trust me IMO not worth it..

I will be looking at the 335's in 4 months

If you are looking for all wheel drive why not an Audi S4 little more coin but it looks way better than the BMW and you probably won't have as many issues with the motor. Also that response you feel is the low end torque of the turbo charger making low end torque but it falls of rather fast. I've driven my friends 335is coupe with the m sport package and thought for sure he would smoke me but its neck and neck. Don't be fooled by something that makes peak torque at low rpm as being faster for certain.

I was going to pull the trigger on one but I saw the sticker price at 58k, and I looked at my notes and the G was for 43k... Yes the bimmer trumps the G is most aspects of the car, but not 15k more...

I went from g37 to 335i. Im full bolt on and pro tuned running a mix of e85 and 93 oct. Havent had a chance to hit track but most will hit high 11 low 12's.

the great thing about BMWs 335 Is you are able to tune them from 300-800 bux and gain 60-80hp right off the bat and its a flash tune so its plug and play. After that its just bolt ons.

You can also upgrade turbos on 335 with being FBO and then youre in the hunting lambo catagory

It's a pure tuning car, not a lot of people realize that.

Oh and Full Bolt on, is downpipes, FMIC, charge pipe, tune. Under 2500 for sure even less if bought used.

And upgraded turbos are about 2500 +install.

The whole tuning aspect is what I miss, and don't really get in the G. As I said, if I could get a solid low 13s car (and I don't think a 500hp $8k supercharger is worth that) and make the transmission a little less sloppy, I would be satisfied. The S4 would be the perfect car, except it's way out of my price range. I have not found any for under $40k, my budget is $20-$25k. Unfortunately a college education is sort of a waste these days with the kind of income you make afterwards...

ANMVQ, if I might ask, what exactly happened with your 37x/SC? I remember following your thread awhile back, you had something like 415hp/300tq to the wheels if I recall correctly. Did the tranny or motor pop?

You haven't done your research have you? Go read about the FSI causing carbon build up in these S4's..

I have shopped all cars in the G's segment and can honestly say I am happy with it all things considered. It probably has the best reliability of any of the brands is cheaper and has the best engine for my taste. Turbo lag sucks. A powerful V6 is just what the Dr. ordered.
